Inspired by her dentist father, Gail Perricone pursued and earned
an A.A.S. degree in Dental Lab Technology. After working for a
number of years as a ceramist on Long Island, she settled in Orlando
with her husband and two children.
Gail worked in-house for a dentist while her daughter and son
were still young, but in due course found time to test the waters
of dental lab ownership once they entered college and high school.
In 1997, she became a partner/owner in an 10+ person lab, assuming
the job of general manager. Under her supervision, both client
and employee volumes tripled.
In 2002, with the support of her employees, the faith of her vendors,
and the loyalty of many wonderful clients, Gail made the decision
to open her own laboratory, GPS. Today, she is the sole owner of
a beautiful, state-of-the-art, 30+ employee dental lab.
When not working, Gail enjoys time with family and friends, the
beach, jogging, and photography.
L. Edward Sznicer, CDT
Crown & Bridge Manager
Manager of
the GPS Crown and Bridge Department since the lab’s
2002 opening, Ed Sznicer is a CDT with over 35 years dental laboratory
experience. His 15 years experience as the Crown & Bridge manager
for a full service dental lab in Massachusetts led to the co-ownership
of his own lab. He eventually gave up that ownership when he took
on the role of Manager of the Dental Education Department at Degussa-Ney
Dental, where he researched the development of new and current
products and techniques. He was also chief contributor to the Degussa-Ney
Technical Advisor, a quarterly publication dedicated to the education
of the dental community. Ed has traveled extensively, lecturing and giving hands-on clinics in the
United States and Europe, which he continues to do today, including tours of
Lebanon, Jordan, and China, where he lectured on pressable ceramics for
Ceramco.
